With lots of reports coming in, we could not resist heading out to the CP boat launch. Sure enough there were two GWFG swimming together with two TRUS on the far side of the river. We hiked through the snow to get as close as possible for our photos. We then drove around to Centennial Park on the other side of the river and hiked the trail as far as possible. But the waterfowl did not cooperate and the light was poor from there. It looked like another good spot for spring birding though.
