Bill was away when Barbara saw the post on eBird that a Nashville Warbler had joined the Black-throated Gray at Mud Lake. So off she went by herself. She was successful and also got a surprise Brown Creeper.

By now, nearly every birder in Ottawa has seen this bird. With blue skies and mild weather, we decided to join the throng to get some better photos of this rarity.

A Mega Rarity - Black-throated Gray Warbler

Bruce DiLabio posted this find at Britannia Ridge at 11:00 am; we went right over!
At first we could not locate it as there were few others birders around. But as more arrived, the elusive subject was finally spotted. It was very active in the drizzly day. Photos were difficult, but finally obtained.
