A civilized 9 am
start at Fletcher - Jane, Conne, Peggy & me.
We went first to the feeders out back and saw a nice group
of House Finches. Then we went to the
other feeder at the edge of the field.
As soon as we go there, Peggy spotted a Barred Owl in the evergreen.
Wow!
We looked around at some other trails - just in case. Then we drove over to Grimes
Rd in Aylmer
to try for the American Three-toed Woodpecker - no luck. We tried going into the woods on the well
packed trail (hey, people must read this blog!), but we could not find it. There were a few Hairys around, but not as
many as before. I decided to pack it in,
happy with the owl find.
