We were amused to see a young American Robin using our pond
stream as a bird bath. Then we noticed a
little skulking sparrow, a white-throat.
In the afternoon, we went for a hike along the Rideau
River from the Jock
River south to Beryl
Gaffney Park
and back. Along the trail there was
little except Song Sparrows. But at
Beryl Gaffney, there was a little pocket of warblers, notably Yellow-rumps and
a beautiful Pine Warbler.
