Having biked south to Blue Sea and Gracefield a few times, we decided to go the other way to Farley. This part of the path is not paved, but it is fairly firm except in a couple of spots.
Before long we came to an area with ponds on either side. On the right were a couple of Hooded Mergansers and on the left was a Midland Painted Turtle.
We made it through to Farley, which is signed as the end of the trail. The track does extend through Kitigan Zibi to Maniwkai, but it is not maintained and is open to all type of vehicles.
On the return trip, we chased up a couple of Northern Flickers that were on the trail ahead.
