We checked the canal for Pine Grosbeaks, but could not find any in the heavy snowfall. There were lots of robins and hundreds of starlings. The canal had a Wood Duck along with Mallards and Ring-billed Gulls.
Being so close, we stopped to check the feeder a Fletcher. Things were looking pretty ordinary when I suddenly noticed a Fox Sparrow and a White-throated Sparrow. We had to wait quite a while for the Fox Sparrow to come back for a photo.
