Birding in Town

 March 14, 2022

A Long-eared Owl was reported in Nepean on Sunday, so Jane and I headed out on Monday morning. We looked on a few paths, then saw some people in the forest with camera equipment.  As we drew near, I recognized Bonnie & Guy and they introduced us to Nelson and Linda. We were able to observe one owl, and then they guided us to the target Long-eared Owl.  We also looked for a Northern Shrike, but were not successful.  In the afternoon, Barbara wanted to go to the same location, and we saw the same two owls.

Both times we met several other birders that we knew.
