Birds at Cedar & Blue Sea Lakes

 June 22 2024

Our main birding outing was to the old trail station at Blue Sea Lake, which has been productive in the past.  There was lots of singing, but getting them in view was difficult, the exceptions being a Ruffed Grouse ad a Veery.

Back at Cedar Lake, we heard a Northern Parula in our backyard, and Barbara managed a photo.

After supper, the three of us went for a tour on the lake.  We were not surprised to see a Common Loon still on the nest at Seagull Rocks.  But it was a total surprise that the nearby mate already had a chick riding on the back!
