I was not able to go on the all-day outing with Tony, but decided to try some digiscoping at the Nepean Sailing Club. I used the adapter for my scope coupled with my D90.
It's rather cumbersome to use, and one has to use all manual settings, focus included. The image seems rather dim, so that makes focussing a bit difficult.
I saw a Horned Grebe fairly close to shore, but had a terrible time getting it in the viewfinder (lack of practice). I walked out to the tip, but saw nothing else aside from a very distant flock of Common Goldeneye.
