We had hoped to see our first Pine Grosbeaks at Old Quarry Trail, so when some were reported at Terry Carisse Park, we headed right out. The snow was deep making it difficult to get around, but we did see a flock moving around between the trees at the park.
Following that success, we went down Rushmore and found a Snowy Owl at the top of one of the tall poles.
That's a nice bonus!
