We have a new route this year, closer to home.
Because of the upcoming weather, we decided to go in the afternoon of the only sunny day. We completed the 5 survey point without difficulty, but the birds were extremely scarce. We heard a few meadowlarks and did actually see one. Other than that, it was quiet. We hope to do better in May. We checked Scoops in Pakeham and found it was open, so, naturally, we had an ice cream!
