We parked at the east lot. A Whimbrel had been reported, but it had moved on by this time. We ran into Bob Cermak who told us of a couple of Baird's Sandpipers. We also saw some Least sandpipers which came very very close to our feet!
We hiked over to the west sector of the park, where we saw people photographing a Green Heron.
We continued to the west end of the park where we encountered another Green Heron. Then, circling back, we saw a large Snapping Turtle in the pond.
