Rideau Trail in Fallowfield

 January 2, 2021

We wanted a short walk on this glorious winter day, because Bill had hurt his knee in a fall on the front steps. Ouch!

We parked at Fallowfield United Church (point 17D in the Rideau Trail map).  This trail was new to us, and we were pleasantly surprised, as it was mostly wooded. There were a few people, all locals.  We spoke to a nice couple who were on a bench enjoying the sunshine.

When we reached Khmer Court,  Barbara decided to carry on to have a look at the quarry. She also got some starlings.  Yea, a bird!😃

Bill had started back, and had a rest at the bench while waiting for Barbara.

Towards the end of our hike, we saw a Downy Woodpecker and man skeins of Canada Geese flying over.
