We only had a short time today, since there was a family picnic at Billing Estate coming up.
So we decided to try for the Sanderlings that had been reported at Parc Brébeuf in Hull a couple of days earlier. At first we only saw a few Caspian Terns and some Spotted Sandpipers, but after a short fruitless walk to Moussette Beach, we returned to Brébeuf where some other birders had shown up. They pointed out the Sanderlings, but our photos showed that they were Least Sandpipers instead; the Sanderlings had left.
With an hour left, we stopped in at Mud Lake. There was a bonanza of Cape May Warblers on the ridge.
We met Rick C and Paul M who were on some other warblers at the fence end of the ridge.
A good morning.
