Back to the cottage. This time the trilliums were mostly out; nice to see the red ones on our own road. We opened the pond and put up two hummingbird feeders.
We went in to Maniwaki and birded on the road across from Martels.
Back at the lake, the grosbeaks put on a really good show.
Lake Trout fishing was successful.
The painted trilliums by the boat shed were just coming out.
The second humming bird feeder was visited right away and a robin was gathering food.
We drove home via Blue Sea and stopped to bird at the bike parking area. The warblers were hopping! Chestnut-sided, Blackburnian, Cape May, Mourning and a Bay-breasted, for which we have no photo. Other birds were Gray Catbird, Swamp Sparrow and Eastern Phoebe. We got all of these in a 15-minute stop!
