Algonquin Park's Lake Travers

September 11-12, 2019

We went on a short overnight canoe trip to Algonquin with the hope of seeing Nelson's Sparrows. Alas, we were too early, but we did see some good birds.

On the way home, we stopped at Squirrel Rapids and photographed a cooperative Swainson's Thrush and Cedar Waxwing..

Then at a small pond just south of Cobden, we saw a large number of juvenile Common Gallinule and Wood Ducks.
