We were having lunch when an RBA came in about a jaeger sp at Ottawa Beach. So we joined the throngs who were there with their scopes. It was mainly loafing on the water, but would sometimes come after a Ring-billed Gull, once right over our heads.
Right beside us, a Red-necked Phalarope was swimming in circles.
Other shorebirds photographed were Barid's Sandpiper, Pectoral Sandpiper and Semi-palmated Plover.
