Juvenile and adult Chipping Sparrows enjoyed bathing in our backyard pond.
At the lake, a female Mallard came up the path to eat spilled seeds from the bird feeder and a Purple Finch was having trouble flying.
We did a loon count, and found the 3 babies doing well. The young Bald Eagle looks good too.
There are quite a few Common Mergansers and Eastern Kingbirds about the lake.
