OFO Trip to Eastern Fields with Always an Adventure

 November 7, 2021

There were 20 participants that gathered at Trim Road Park & Ride, after negotiating the crazy detours.

Our first stop was on Trim Road itself way to the south, where we saw a few Sandhill Cranes. We also saw a distant Merlin and Northern Harrier.

We hoped for more cranes, but it was to to be, although we saw several Red-tailed Hawks.

So, we went down to 417 and headed out to St. Isidore. After a bathroom break at Tim Hortons's, we started cruising the concession roads looking for hawks and small birds.  We saw a couple of Northern Harriers and Rough-legged Hawks and several flocks of Snow Geese flying overhead.

Then we went to Lafleche, but there was no much happening there.  Let's try Moose Creek.  That's better, we found several thousand Snow Geese.

The rest of the group moved on to Embrun, but we had to head for home to await arrival of our grandsons.
