We went up on Friday, stopping along the Gatineau Parkway where we saw Rose-breasted Grosbeaks. Then we dropped in on Karine to see the renos. During a slight delay leaving, Barbara got a Hairy Woodpecker.
We took the Martindale Road out of Low. Although not as productive as in the past, we did see a Wilson's Warbler, an Eastern Kingbird and nesting Tree Swallows.
One of the reasons for going was to try the lake trout fishing, and we were successful.
On Saturday, we birded around our cottage, also enjoying the beautiful red trilliums. The Nashville Warbler was a good find.
Rose-breasted Grosbeaks were visiting our feeders in droves. We also had a short visit from a pair of Evening Grosbeaks as well as other regulars.
