We followed the route of the Upper Jock River Race, from Munster Road to Richmond on the Jock River. The race was postponed three times to May 4 because of the late breakup and high water. But we had left it a bit late for our run, as the water had dropped a lot and the small rapids at the end were quite bony and longer than usual.
Nevertheless, we had a good day, and enjoyed quite a few birds, including a Solitary Sandpiper.
