Bill took Dale trout fishing again, and this time Dale caught a 6.5 ponder right in our bay; lost another big one too!
After that excitement, we picked some chanterelles and went for a boat ride to see how our babies were doing. There was no sign of the young eagles, but the loon at first bay finally hatched her chick. The adult eagle was watching warily. Hope it doesn't catch the baby. We also saw a hated cormorant and a strange insect back at the cottage.
