Cottage Birds

 May 30-June 2, 2021

We had a variety of activities which included fishing, canoeing, birding, and a loon count. We began with early morning birding around our place.  Black and White Warblers and Red-eyed Vireos predominated. Ovenbirds did come in to the playback, but Northern Waterthrushes were more hesitant.  We did finally have success with them in our canoe in Sylvestre's Bay.  On the loon count, we found 2 nests and 11 adults.  No eagles were sitting on the nest, but one adult was perched at the head of the island.

  1. Nice birds! Glad you got the waterthrush. We dipped on the Cerulean again yesterday.
