Tundra Swans

 October 17, 2021

We decided to spend the day doing much needed yard work. By 3 pm we were pretty tired, but then an RBA came in that the swans seen near Andrew Haydon Park were not Trumpeters, as first reported, but the much rarer Tundra Swans.  Off we went.  We went straight to Ottawa Beach, but could not see them.  Instead we were treated to a beautiful rainbow.

So we went over to the mouth of Graham Creek, but they weren't there either.  Then we bushwhacked out to the river, where we did spot the two swans downriver closer to Scrivens.

So we headed down the path to get closer to them.  Success!
