Terry Carisse Park

 May 20, 2021

An Olive-sided Flycatcher was reported on the 19th, so we decided to go for the long shot.  There was no sign of it, but Barbara soon spotted a Least Flycatcher for consolation.

We met another birder who told us that an Alder Flycatcher was singing at the other end of the park.  So we made out way over there and heard it clearly.  It was very close but steadfastly refused to show itself.  We waited a long time and played the tape, but it only gave us one or two glimpses.  Oh, well, the Baltimore Orioles, Great Crested Flycatchers and other birds kept us entertained.  It was a four flycatcher day.  Barbara also saw a toad, and Bill got a turtle.
