We dropped in to see Gavin on his birthday, then birded the overgrown field at the end of Deschêne St. It was still a bit early, as no migrants were seen.
After lunch, we decided to go to Twin Elm to look for a Solitary Sandpiper. Somehow, we missed it, but got some good shots of the resident Ospreys and a Greater Yellowlegs.
As we were leaving, we saw Mark G who advised us to go to Moodie Pond where there was a good selection of ducks. Highlights were Gadwalls and Ring-necked Ducks.
