Stilt Sandpiper at Richmond Conservation Area

September 3, 2020

After a great morning at Mud Lake, we received an RBA from Bruce Di Labio that there were 2 Stilt Sandpipers at Richmond.  We could not resist.

When we arrived, we saw a Painted Turtle on the path, a Green Heron eating a frog, Solitary Sandpipers and Lesser Yellowlegs.

We made our way down to the back of the second cell, and, voila, the Stilt Sandpipers were there along with many Killdeer, Least Sandpipers and Blue-winged Teals.

Starting back, we saw the Green Heron again in good light.
