We headed our early to avoid the crowds, and it worked. We were the first car there. Shortly into our hike we heard a couple of Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers.
Other than that, bird life was quiet. We hiked as far as the detour, then circled back.
We met a few hikers and were very careful to get well off to the side, due to covid concern. We heard peepers and some Wood Frogs, and saw a Blandings Turtle and other turtles.
We returned part way on the snowmobile trail, which was flooded in places., but we did see a Wood Frog.
Heading home on March Road, we stopped to photograph a Red-shouldered Hawk.
