Easter Sunrise and Golden-crowned Kinglet

April 12, 2020

Barbara got up before the sun and saw that there was going to be a glorious sunrise.  Since she couldn't see well from our yard, she hiked over to the back of the townhouses on Greenbank for the show - sunrise, birds & an Easter Rabbit.

Later, at 4 pm, we hiked over to Stapledon and took the NCC muddy trail over to our woodcock spot and on to the bridge.  It was looking like a bust except for a Common Grackle.

We headed back along the creek trail.  At the beaver dam, we spotted a few kinglets in the tree tops. Then Grant spotted one right beside us that hopped up obligingly for photos.
