Pinecrest Cemetery

April 23, 2020

I had to sign some papers at our lawyer's for the closing on Bruce's house.  He was working from home in Briargreen due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Barbara thought it would be fun to walk over and afterwards check out the Pinecrest Cemetery accessed through the back of the church on Greenbank.

We arrived at the back of the church parking lot in time to see a thrush in the corner by the fence.  By the time I got my camera out, it had vanished, replaced by a junco.

We went into the cemetery, and she was right, it was an attractive place to bird.  We got a couple of sparrow species, a Common Raven fly-over, White-breasted Nuthatch, American Robin and Northern Cardinal.  Alas, no warblers and no more sightings of the thrush.

Afterwards, we went to Bruce's to put the junk from the shed out in the garbage and to check on the Baseline Rd ravens.
